Transition(s)

No, Pac Ridge isn't folding (I know I got all the haters' hopes up) and we're not going to turn into a ska label *shudders*. The "Transition" I'm speaking of is the first track off Kyoto Drive's soon-to-be-released album This Is All We Ever Wanted.

Basically "Transitions" is KD's version of pumping up the crowd. It's kind of like New Found Glorys song "Intro" in the way that it shows a style unlike any other on the album and is a great song to mosh to. So if you're looking for a reason to punch a friend in the head or give him that casual elbow to the sternum check out Kyoto Drive live. But if you're stuck in the states like me just crank the tunes at home and do it anyways.

You can find the song here, here, and here.

Notes From Look Out Point

This will be the fourth Kyoto Drive track we've posted in as many weeks. Now remember there's no rhyme or reason to the songs being posted. We're not posting only singles or just the great tracks. We're actually posting them by using a formulaic approach that calculates emotional interaction and brain stimuli. Our method is also known as the eenie meenie miney moe method....truly a scientific approach.

Anyways track seven "Notes From Look Out Point" is a slower more melodic track that still manages to keep that up-tempo KD style....now this is the part of the post where I plug the hell out of the song. The album will be available Jan. 26th and is titled This Is All We Ever Wanted. As usual you can listen to the song at any of these locations; Purevolume, Myspace, or our super secret (not anymore obviously) iLike site.

It's that time of the week again. And if you don't actually know what that time is, it's a weekly event in which we post a song off the upcoming Kyoto Drive album entitled This Is All We Ever Wanted. This weeks song is called *drum roll.....* "Make This Alright." The song can be heard at our ilike, purevolume, and myspace sites.

After 2,500 miles of travelling and a Wal-Mart oil change later Pac Ridge is back up a running. We've got a new location in sunny California and a boat load of energy. But more importantly since it's been about a week and a half since our last update I'm thinking it's time for the release of a new Kyoto Drive song off of their new yet to be released album titled This Is All We Ever Wanted. Just check out our Purevolume or Myspace and you'll get to hear track four "Are You Taking Me Apart Just To See How My Insides Work" in all its glory.

Now that my lame attempt at a 90's pop culture reference has failed horribly. It's time to get to business. I have another interview! This time it's with Mike Levell of Kyoto Drive, and it touches up on their January 26th release and other similarly imperative topics like skateboarding and Tandoori Chicken Madras. What can I say, we here at Pac Ridge like to challenge our interviewees with the tough questions. The kind that others are afraid, or too proud to ask...Interview.

Album Art and Black Friday Nut Bustin' Megathon Sale

I figured everyone else is throwing around phrases like "Black Friday Door Buster" and "Super Mega Sale", so why can't we? So this next week we're officially having the Nut Bustin' Megathon Sale. The prices will be so low that you're bound to bust a nut! Seriously though, we're having a big sale for Thanksgiving week (Nov. 21st-27th). It ends after Black Friday, so make sure you at least take the time to look at the price changes. You don't have to buy anything, but dammit I'll be html-ing on Thanksgiving so check out my hard earned soon-to-be carpal tunnel filled turkey-less work.

The sale isn't the only thing this post is about though. You're getting a two-fer! I figured I'd post the album art for the yet to be released (January 26th) Kyoto Drive album. It's sweet stuff. Plus it'll give a peek into the track listing and band members. And, well, it's just sick. Late!

As the headline implies there's a brand spanking new album on the way (as if it wasn't readily apparent by the gigantic myspace header and banners everywhere). The album is a ten song full-length by the English Pop/Rock band Kyoto Drive.

In case your curious. Which undoubtedly you are, the album is titled "This Is All We Ever Wanted."

And as if this post wasn't enough to satiate your inner most Pac Ridge/Kyoto Drive desires, I intend to post a song for you to stream to your hearts content. Actually the plan is to release a song every week or so in anticipation of this bad boy. So check back often to hear the latest and greatest KD song. For now head on over to our PV or MS to give the first song ever posted a listen. Oh did I mention it's coming out January 26th? Because it is.

We did a short interview with Kyoto Drive Guitarist Mark Piper. The int. includes some wonderful news that's happening in the near future. You'll have to read it to figure it out though. And I assure you it's not as dull as it sounds either. It's full of interesting tidbits that delve into the psyche of those funny talking friends that live half way around the world....Not really, but it is better than poke in the eye with a sharp stick! Interview.
